Dr. Trystan Thomas is a dedicated general dentist with a special focus on TMD diagnosis and treatment. He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2008 with a Bachelor of Dental Science, then completed a two-year surgical residency at Salisbury District Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in oral surgery within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department.

Dr. Thomas practiced general dentistry in the UK for four years before returning home to Canada. In 2015, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine with Honors from the University of Manitoba and began working at Thomas Dental Group.

As the President of the MASCCP study group, Dr. Thomas is dedicated to advancing the field of dentistry and improving patient outcomes. The group includes professionals from a variety of fields, such as Dentists, Orthodontists, Hygienists, Myofunctional Therapists, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Holistic Practitioners, and Lawyers. Together, they focus on treating patients with head and neck pain, including TMJ-related problems.

In addition to his dedication to patient care, Dr. Thomas is committed to ongoing education and training. He is certified in the placement of dental implants, administration of neuromodulator treatment, and nitrous oxide for the treatment of anxious patients.

When Dr. Thomas is not busy in the office, he loves spending quality time with his family and his three kids. He has a passion for spending time outdoors, whether it be hiking, skiing, climbing, or just spending time on his bike, he will find any excuse to be outside!
